Unplanned Peru – Lima, Cusco and Tarapoto

Posted on Nov 1, 2015 by in featured, Portfolio | 0 comments

Sometimes the best adventures come from unplanned experiences. I intended to visit Lima in Peru and was pleased I did. This city knows how to make great food! What came after Lima – my visits to Cusco and then on to Tarapoto – were unplanned, and because of it highly rewarding. I learned that 21.5 hours on a bus is no fun, that the view from 11,000ft. above sea level is awesome, and that catching collectivo’s and river ferries in the humid conditions of the Tarapoto rainforest region is a most natural way to lose weight. I met a Shaman who called upon my long-ago spirits, hiked with an 84-year-old lady and a man with a machete, and bonded with a friendly llama at Machu Picchu. And, in my opinion, drank the tastiest Pisco Sours in South America. These are a few of my favourite pics from Peru: Lima, Cusco and Tarapoto.
